Amy Freer

Amy has been a RFA social worker since the beginning of 2018. Prior to working for the City, Amy has worked with children and families for nearly fourteen years. Amy spent four years working internationally with at-risk youth at a high support special care unit in Ireland. The other 10 years were in residential treatment experience in the Bay Area. Her time spent working with diverse and vulnerable communities only grew her commitment and passion to help families and children. As a mother of a school-aged boy, Amy is a proud SFUSD mom, advocate and firm believer in building an inclusive community. When not at work, Amy enjoys helping out with the school’s garden and chickens, cheering on the SF Giants, and camping with family and friends.
