Host a young adult in extended foster care

Provide the space in your home for a youth’s safe and stable transition to adulthood.

Why host a young adult in extended foster care

Youth in foster care can receive extended foster care (EFC) benefits from ages 18-21 to help transition to adulthood. But even with EFC rental subsidies, their biggest challenge is finding affordable and supportive housing while they go to school and hold down a job.

You can make a huge difference to an EFC youth by becoming a host who rents them an affordable private room in your home. Interested? If so, connect with us to learn more about hosting and our new online tool, Launchpads, that helps make compatible matches between young adults with hosts.

Once the match occurs, the approval process can happen in just a few weeks.
